Michael Krásný is a Czech bass player, singer and music composer living in New York City possessed an uncommon affinity for the electric bass. He's known as a member of the band Celula New York. Band created in late 80's by Czech-American living legend trumpeter Laco Deczi. He's also a member of touring band of American singer-songwriter piano player Peter Cincotti.

On his last album 20:20 Michael joins forces

with stellar drummer Jeremy Gaddie (Hiram Bullock, Alicia Keys, Richard Bona, Roy Ayers, Harry Belafonte, Backstreet Boys ...), outstanding pianist Shedrick Mitchell (Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Maxwell, Jay-Z, R-Kelly, Terrance Blanchard, Kenny Garrett, Christian

McBride ...) and amazing drummer Joe Nero

whom Michael met in the backing band of

Peter Cincotti during his last tour of Europe and Africa in 2019. The rest of the parts was recorded with the best Czech jazz musicians as Jan Uvira, Adam Tvrdy, Miroslav Hloucal.

His energetic and sensual playing electrifies audiences at premiere venues and events all over the countries of the world. His interwoven compositions integrates a wide variety of styles, including funk, rock, R&B, jazz, new wave, soul and pop. He combines consummate professionalism, a love of his music and an ongoing commitment to innovation to devise wonderful unforgettable music.

As a solo bass player or a leader of his band Quattro Formaggi he wins honor after honor at top festivals and competitions around the world, among them 1st prize in a Czech national final in a contest of string instruments. He was also awarded a special prize of the committee for original interpretation. His band Quattro Formaggi won a prestigious international contest JUNIORJAZZ organized by the Czech Jazz Society, and his composition “Ben Nevis” was awarded a prize for the best authorial jazz composition. The band took part in the contest THE SOUND OF EUROPE organized by EuroGlobe, where they won the 1st prize as well. Quattro Formaggi won the contest of the Metropolitan University Prague organized by “Mladí ladí jazz” society.
